LOGON AUTO MALLThis is an online shop run by LOGON.
LOGON Event InformationWe provide information about car audio and car security events at our store here. There has been a theft of a Land Cruiser 300 at a home in Abiko City, Chiba Prefecture, as well as at a hotel parking lot in Noda City. Information has also been released by the manufacturer regarding damage to vehicles equipped with iGLA 2, so it’s a situation where you need to consider countermeasures both at home and when you’re out.
As of August 2026, we have not received any reports of theft damage for vehicles we have installed.
However, the method changes. We believe that this is not something you “install and it’s done”; you should review the necessary countermeasures while keeping an eye on the situation as it develops.
iGLA 2 / iGLA 2+ are still important countermeasures to prevent the vehicle from being moved unlawfully. At the same time, in places where it’s less likely to be noticed, it’s becoming increasingly important to layer measures that suppress the intrusion itself and measures that alert you to abnormalities with sound.
If we were to add to your current setup, I would prioritize the following first:
KEYLESS BLOCK JP+
Countermeasures to suppress entry into the cabin
AUTHOR ALARM / GOLGO PANTHER A / SIREN BT
Countermeasures to alert to abnormal activity with sound and create a situation where the intruder is less likely to stay on site
Depending on what else is needed, there is also an option to combine TELE COMPASS, which supports notifications and location confirmation. Operation may vary depending on the communication environment and vehicle condition, and you will need to subscribe separately.
You do not need to replace iGLA 2 / iGLA 2+. It’s fine to take the approach of keeping your current configuration and adding what’s missing. We’ll think together in a practical way while confirming your vehicle model and your current installed equipment.
As of August 2026, we have not received any reports of theft damage regarding vehicles we have installed.
The methods change every year. That’s why we, too, change every year.
To be honest, it’s the most heartbreaking for me if the customers we install on are victimized.
If someone is going to target a vehicle, please make it my car—not the customer’s. In that case, we will learn from it. That’s why we have demo cars.
At LOGON, we check auto theft news and public information that is likely to be relevant within roughly a 100 km radius of our shop, and we reflect this in our vehicle-specific security plan recommendations.
If you drive a Land Cruiser, Alphard, Lexus, HiAce, Crown, or similar model, please also check the theft trends for your vehicle and any warnings issued by public authorities. This is not intended to cause alarm, but to give you calm, practical information for thinking through measures suited to your parking environment and daily use.
Published August 20, 2026: Noda City, Chiba Prefecture — Land Cruiser 300 stolen
In the early hours of August 20, 2026, a white Land Cruiser 300 was reported stolen from a hotel car park in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture. Noda borders Nagareyama, where our shop is located, and this case shows that theft happens not only at home but also at car parks while you are out or staying away overnight.
Published August 20, 2026: Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture — Alphard (30 series) stolen
On August 19, 2026, a black Alphard (30 series) parked on the owner's own property in Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture was reported stolen. Southern Ibaraki, including Tsuchiura, is home to many of our customers, and the 30-series Alphard has long been flagged as a frequently targeted model.
Announced August 3, 2026: National Police Agency — Vehicle theft counts by model, first half of Reiwa 8
According to the National Police Agency, the Land Cruiser recorded the highest number of thefts in the first half of Reiwa 8 with 219 units, followed by the Prius with 170, the Alphard with 97 and the HiAce with 92. Overall numbers are down compared with the same period last year, but the models at the top of the list have changed little, and reports also note that thefts of light trucks have been increasing in recent years.
Published July 31, 2026: Saitama Prefecture — Thefts of the Alphard, Land Cruiser and Lexus trending upward
Reports indicate a rising trend in thefts of the Alphard, Land Cruiser and Lexus models (LS, ES, RX, LX, NX, UX) within Saitama Prefecture. Vehicles are being taken even when locked, through electronic methods such as relay attacks and CAN invader attacks that exploit a vehicle's radio signals and communications. Eastern and southern Saitama is close to our shop area, so this is useful reference information for residents of Chiba Prefecture and Tokyo as well.
Updated July 28, 2026: Ibaraki Prefectural Police — Vehicle theft (frequently targeted models and incidents by municipality)
The Ibaraki Prefectural Police page publishes the frequently targeted models and the breakdown of incidents by municipality as of the end of June, Reiwa 8. Cases are confirmed mainly in the south of the prefecture, and because many vehicles move across prefectural borders, this is useful public information for residents of north-western Chiba too.
Updated July 24, 2026: Chiba Prefectural Police — Vehicle theft analysis (provisional figures through end of June, Reiwa 8)
This is the latest occurrence analysis published by the Chiba Prefectural Police, based on provisional figures through the end of June, Reiwa 8. It summarises which models are targeted within the prefecture and where incidents occur, and is worth checking once if you live in Kashiwa, Matsudo, Nagareyama or other areas near our shop.
Theft methods continue to change year by year, and locking your genuine key or relying on the factory security system alone can sometimes leave room for concern. As these cases show, incidents occur not only on your own property but also at hotels and car parks away from home, so it is important to combine "measures that sound an alarm on the spot" with "measures that let you notice even when you are away." LOGON's vehicle-specific security plans combine anti-theft starting measures, siren alarms, smartphone notifications, keyless countermeasures and analogue blocking, tailored to how you use and store your vehicle.
Please start by checking the plan for your vehicle model. We can also help with consultations and provisional reservations before your car is delivered, so please feel free to contact us even if the details are not yet decided.
These thefts are happening close to our shop. Reports say that even vehicles already fitted with a security unit have been taken, and many owners are understandably uneasy.
As of August 2026, we have received no reports of theft involving any vehicle we have installed.
The methods change every year. So we change every year, too. We keep re-testing on our demo car and updating our setups.
What we recommend first is "do not let them in" (KEYLESS BLOCK JP+) and "sound the alarm on the spot" (AUTHOR ALARM / Grgo / PANTHERA / SIREN BT). If your budget allows, add TELE COMPASS so you can be alerted even when you are away.
Our customers come to us from many different starting points: those about to take delivery of a new car, those who have been targeted before, and those who had nothing fitted when they were hit. We have seen a number of vehicles after they were attacked, and each time we worked out how to prevent it and fed that back into how we install. That is why we never stop updating.
