Our journey into car security began about 32 years ago, when we heard a car siren while visiting the United States. Back then, we researched imported products with an English-Japanese dictionary in hand, building our skills and experience through trial and error on our own car.

Vehicle Theft is Still on the Rise

Relay Attack · CAN Invader
These electronic techniques are now mainstream. Many cases cannot be prevented by OEM security alone — combining multiple countermeasures is essential.
A technique that relays the faint radio waves from smart keys, causing the vehicle to mistakenly recognize the key is nearby and unlock/start. Keys near the front door or parking area are often targeted — simply carrying your key puts you at risk.
A technique that directly intrudes into the vehicle's CAN communication to forcibly send door unlock and engine start signals. Wiring is accessed through gaps in the body or behind bumpers, so having a key is irrelevant.
Using a specialized scan tool (nicknamed 'Game Boy') to unlock doors or disable the immobilizer via the OBD port. In some models, keys can even be created and registered — relatively easy to execute with the right equipment.
