【Direct Woofer Connection Work When Installing a DSP|For Vehicles Already Equipped With a Subwoofer】
This is the installation menu for cases where you want to add a DSP while the vehicle already has a woofer installed.
Not only do we install the DSP, we also connect the existing woofer to the DSP, bringing the system into a state where it’s easier to adjust the volume balance with the front speakers and the “blend” of the bass. Even if bass alone comes out too strong or the center of the sound feels blurred, by integrating everything with the DSP, it becomes easier to steer the listening experience toward enjoying your usual music in a more natural way.
However, the necessary work varies depending on the type of woofer already installed, whether an amplifier is present, and the current wiring method. If you try to force the DSP by reusing existing wiring, you may not be able to fully take advantage of the DSP’s performance, and you may also find it difficult to make adjustments later.
At LOGON, after checking the vehicle’s system configuration and the current installation status, we decide how far modifications should be made. If you’re going to add a DSP, it’s generally more likely to lead to greater satisfaction with the final result to tune the overall sound inside the cabin together—including the woofer.
If you’d like to install a DSP while making use of your existing woofer, or if you want to revisit how the bass is coming out, please consult with us while confirming your vehicle model and your current audio setup.
