【Matrix ML-8 MID｜200mm High-End Mid-Bass Speaker】

The Matrix ML-8 MID is ideal if you want to replace your factory speakers and significantly enhance the presence of your door speakers and the thickness of the mid-to-low frequencies.

This 200mm mid-bass speaker uses a paper cone made from sisal fibers for the diaphragm. In addition, a microsphere coating is applied to achieve a balance between light weight and strength.

With a lively sound onset, it’s a model that makes it easy to build a solid foundation for music—from the midrange that supports vocals to the deeper low end with the kind of thickness you expect from door speakers. Even with the same music you always listen to, it becomes easier to consider improving issues such as the sound feeling thin, bass becoming blurred, or vocals lacking impact.

The magnet features six air holes for back-pressure processing, and the bottom is protected with a mesh grille and a stainless-steel ring. The pole piece is also equipped with an OFC short ring, designed to suppress increases in impedance and magnetic distortion.

The frame uses aluminum die-cast that helps reduce unwanted vibrations, making it a configuration that’s easier to consider for installation in European vehicles. However, even with the same 200mm size, the mounting method and required machining will vary depending on the vehicle model and the specifications of the factory speaker.
