Compass is a device that works with your smartphone to let you check your vehicle’s status and receive notifications, etc. (The available functions vary depending on the model and your subscription/contract.) It is often used in combination with authentication-type and alarm-type security, so that in an emergency you can more easily understand what’s happening from your phone. Whether it is supported and how to use it in detail vary by vehicle model and specifications; if you tell us your preferences, we will provide guidance. Please note that some functions may not be available depending on communication conditions.

Compass uses a SIM to check your vehicle status. We can advise on the type of SIM and on choosing the data allowance and contract length, so please ask before you buy one. If you prefer to supply it yourself, we will tell you which SIMs are compatible.

Remote start (starting the engine remotely) can be set up by combining a fixed-day schedule with a trigger based on the battery voltage dropping. If the engine seems to be starting more or less often than you expected, talk to us about reviewing the settings.
