Play 6 channels beautifully with one unit, bringing cohesion and depth to your in-car music.

The Z-AP series power amplifiers are high sound-quality, sound-performance-first amplifiers that are based on the Z-LX series and further pursued in terms of sound.

The Z-AP series power amplifiers are AB-class power amplifiers designed with music performance as the top priority.
They achieve minimized signal-path length, identical printed-circuit patterns for each channel, adoption of a powerful power-supply circuit, and use of audio-dedicated transistors and capacitors with strong sound-evaluation credentials.
They also feature gain-adjustment circuits independent for each channel, premium high-rigidity RCA terminals, and a design that embodies a sound-quality-first philosophy.
A sound with rich musicality and no listening fatigue is an excellent power amplifier that captivates the listener.

The lineup includes three models with 150W output in 2ch/4ch/6ch configurations, as well as a high-power 400W output 2ch model.

For all models, the final devices in the power-amp section are driven in a parallel push-pull configuration using Sankens TO-3P power transistors 2SA-2151A/2SC-6011A, which are well regarded for sound quality.
In the drive stage of the high-power 2ch model Z-400.2AP, the power stage is driven powerfully using Sankens TO-3P power transistors 2SA-1695/2SC-4468.

For the circuit configuration of the signal line, a Texas Instruments LME49720 operational amplifier with low output impedance is used.
For coupling and power-supply enhancement, audio-dedicated electrolytic capacitors are used.
For the semiconductors in the amplification section, Toshibas low-noise transistors, high-end WIMA film capacitors, and 0.1% tolerance metal film resistors are used, resulting in a high-grade circuit specification that goes beyond the class.

The power-supply switching devices drive MOS-FETs with 2-parallel/3-parallel configurations, using a large toroidal transformer and large-capacity electrolytic capacitors for audio power-supply smoothing, thereby building a powerful power-supply circuit.

For protection, in the event of abnormalities such as thermal issues, overload, or short circuits, the high-speed protection function operates.
