It’s not about simply making the bass louder; it helps suppress unwanted vibrations generated when the speakers move, and forms a solid foundation for the sound. If installed properly, bass definition is likely to become more cohesive, and vocals and mid-to-high frequencies may also feel relatively easier to hear.
