Make rear checks feel more natural, and give yourself the room to drive every day with clarity.
[Digital Inner Mirror PRD6X | Clear Rear View with a High-Brightness Display and a Camera with SONY STARVIS]
Your view can be blocked by cargo in the rear or by passengers. And at night or when driving into headlight glare, the rear is often hard to see. Digital Inner Mirror PRD6X is designed to reduce these frustrations as much as possible and create a rear view that’s easy to use in everyday driving.
The front and rear cameras use Sony’s high-sensitivity sensor, the “IMX462.” Combined with a high-brightness touch panel, it makes it easier to check the screen even during times when direct sunlight hits. You can also confirm rear conditions that were difficult to see with conventional interior mirrors in a more natural way.
IMX462 is a high-sensitivity sensor that uses Sony’s STARVIS technology. It supports video that makes it easier to check rear conditions even in situations where brightness is insufficient, such as night roads with few streetlights or dark parking lots.
It also supports HDR and WDR functions, so even in scenes where bright and dark areas are mixed—such as the entrances and exits of tunnels or backlight in the evening—it’s less likely to become extremely difficult to see.
The front and rear cameras support recording at up to 60fps. Motion in the video appears smoother, making it easier to follow rear vehicles and movements around you while driving.
The front camera supports a wide field of view of approximately 170 degrees, and the rear camera supports approximately 140 degrees. Because the front and rear cameras are separate units, the setup is designed to help you create a rear view that suits your vehicle’s shape and how you use it.
Rear camera video supports 20-step zoom adjustment. You can adjust the displayed area depending on whether you want to see the rear situation broadly or you want to check the distance to following vehicles or obstacles.
It also includes a 3-axis G-sensor with 10-step sensitivity adjustment. It detects impact from six directions—front and rear, left and right, and up and down—so you can adjust sensitivity to match driving conditions and road conditions.
The main unit is fixed by sandwiching the OEM rearview interior mirror with the included mounting rubber. Since the shape of the factory mirror and the surrounding space vary by vehicle model, it’s important during actual installation to check and finalize things such as how the screen looks, the camera orientation, and how neatly the wiring can be routed.
A digital inner mirror isn’t only about installing the main unit—the usability changes depending on the rear camera’s position and angle, the screen brightness, and adjustments to the display range. At LOGON, we consider together what will help you see and use it clearly every day, while checking how you use your vehicle and the condition of your OEM mirror.
This is a product for people who want a wider rear view, who are concerned about how it looks at night or in backlight, or who want to replace their mirror with one that’s less affected by luggage or the rear seats. Because installation methods and how the camera view appears can differ by vehicle model, we guide you on compatibility and installation while checking your specific vehicle.
