RS 165 is a model that combines a 6.5-inch mid-range speaker with a 25mm high-efficiency tweeter. Its configuration is designed to deliver solid midrange thickness while still providing an extended, airy sound up into the high frequencies.

If you find that the vocal voice sounds slightly pushed back, that the treble feels harsh when you turn up the volume, or that you want to enjoy your usual songs in greater detail—this is a model where you can easily feel the benefits of swapping speakers.

The mid-range uses a GFP 431 fiberglass cone. Built with an emphasis on the way sound starts and on fine, detailed expression, it should make the difference noticeable not only for pop and rock, but also for vocal-focused music.
