【Morel MT450｜28mm Premium Tweeter】

The high frequencies feel a bit harsh, and you’d like the vocal expressions to come out a little more naturally. If that sounds like you, you should consider Morel’s MT450.

Belonging to the Elate Carbon series, this tweeter uses a 28mm Acuflex silk dome, Hexatech aluminum-wound voice coil, and a neodymium magnetic circuit. It isn’t the type that makes the highs sound thin and sharp; instead, it reproduces vocals with lifelike breath and even the lingering resonance of instruments in a smooth, natural way.

With the music you already listen to, you’ll find the positioning of vocalists and the overlap of instruments become easier to discern—not only when you turn the volume up, but also at your usual listening level, making it easier to get immersed in the music. It’s a great fit for people who want to enjoy music on long drives and for those seeking a more refined high-frequency presentation than what comes with the factory speakers.

That said, tweeter sound isn’t determined just by swapping in a product. How it sounds changes significantly depending on the mounting position and angle, how it integrates with the door-side speakers, and the tuning of the crossover network and DSP you use. If it were me, I wouldn’t judge based solely on the MT450’s standalone performance—I’d also check the vehicle’s factory system and your current speaker setup, then choose the best combination while looking at the overall balance.

If you’re going to pick a great tweeter, you’ll want a finish that lets you enjoy your usual songs naturally—not piercing highs that stab your ears. Let’s go through, together, what you should change and how far you’d need to go to feel satisfied, while checking your vehicle model and current system.
