MAXWIN MR-KIT08 (AD08) Vehicle-Specific Bracket for WRX S4

The MAXWIN MR-KIT08 (AD08) is a dedicated bracket designed to install the digital room mirror from the MDR-A series and MDR-C series onto the Subaru WRX S4, tailored to the specific vehicle model. Unlike installation methods that stack and secure the device to the OEM mirror using rubber bands, this bracket is intended to mount to the mirror base on the vehicle side, helping you achieve a neat, integrated finish with minimal “aftermarket” look.

Registered Compatible Vehicles

The vehicles registered for this product at our store are the Subaru WRX S4 DBA-VAG (early model) and DBA-VAG (late model). Even for the same WRX S4, installation conditions may differ depending on the model year, vehicle type, improvement timing, the shape of the OEM mirror base, and the specifications of surrounding covers. Please do not judge compatibility by vehicle name alone—match the year/month of first registration, the vehicle type, and the MAXWIN unit model number you plan to install. If the current vehicle’s mirror mounting area has a cover for a camera or sensor, photos showing that cover’s shape are also useful for confirmation.

Benefits of Using the Dedicated Bracket

By using a vehicle-specific bracket, it becomes easier to align the position and angle of the digital mirror unit, and you can also consider how neatly it sits from the driver’s seat. It is suitable if you want to avoid an installation method that covers the OEM mirror, or if you place importance on a clean installation including wiring. However, this item is a mounting bracket only. You must individually confirm the included contents for the digital room mirror unit, front and rear cameras, power wiring, extension cables, and so on.

Checks Before Ordering

For compatibility confirmation, in addition to the DBA-VAG early/late classification, please check the presence/absence of the OEM mirror pedestal, safety-assistance camera(s) around the front windshield area, sensors, and covers. In vehicles with specification differences such as right-hand/left-hand drive, manufacturer options, or retrofitted equipment, additional confirmation may be required. Also, even within the MDR-A / MDR-C series, the unit shape and installation conditions may differ—please be sure to tell us the product model number you plan to use.

Since installation work affects visibility, camera images, wiring, and driver-assistance functions, we recommend having it performed at a store with specialized knowledge. After installation, please drive only after confirming that there are no issues with the bracket’s fixed condition, the mirror angle, potential interference with the wiring, each camera image, and the operation of the vehicle-side sensors.
