【Original Door Panel Deadening Stage 1｜Installation to Stabilize Vibrations in the Door Panel】

You may find that the sound from your door speakers is slightly blurry, or that the bass seems to be escaping into the door panel. In such cases, it’s important not only to address the speakers, but also to treat the door panel side that receives the sound.

Original Door Panel Deadening Stage 1 uses Audio-Technica’s damping absorber material—an integrated set of deadening material, an aluminum sheet, and a low-rebound (low-density) foam sheet—applied to the back side of the door panel.

By reducing unnecessary vibrations in the door panel, the goal is to create a condition where the sound produced by the speaker is able to transmit more easily into the cabin. While the sound’s definition may become more cohesive and the positioning of vocals and instruments may feel easier to hear, the degree and type of improvement will vary depending on the vehicle model, the factory speakers, and your current installation status.

LOGON’s approach is to identify the necessary coverage and perform the installation while checking the door panel’s shape and the positions of the clips.
