With Door Panel Deadening Stage 1, we install Audio-Technica’s damping absorber on the backside of the door panel. Using a combination of deadening material, an aluminum sheet, and a low-rebound foam sheet, the component is designed to reduce vibration and unwanted resonance from the panel, aiming to make the sound produced by the speakers more cohesive inside the cabin.

This is especially suitable when vocal or instrument sounds seem to get buried in the panel’s resonance, or when the rattling around the door becomes noticeable as you turn the volume up. This is not an installation meant to simply make the sound louder; it’s meant to suppress extra vibration and make the sound from the speakers you’re already using easier to listen to and more well-balanced.
