A 3-WAY setup with KICKER KS that makes your usual songs spread out in a 3D soundstage.
【KICKER KS Series Original KIT Separate 3-Way | For Your First Real Car Audio】
“3-way sounds interesting, but I’m a little uneasy about getting premium units all at once.”
For those people, LOGON has put together a custom 3-way kit using the KICKER KS series as a realistic way to upgrade your system.
The setup consists of three units: a tweeter, a 3.5-inch speaker, and a 6×9-inch speaker. Because each unit handles a different frequency band, the sound that tends to blend together and be heard as one through the factory speakers shifts toward a more easily perceived direction—making it easier to hear the positions of vocals and instruments as well as the thickness of the sound.
KST2504 handles the high-frequency range, taking charge of clarity and sound “openness.”
KSC3504 supports the core of vocals and instruments, pushing the sound image forward.
KSC6904 adds thickness to the mid-bass range, making it easier to keep the presence of the music even while driving.
By splitting the roles across three units, you don’t just get louder sound—you get music arranged in a more three-dimensional way, and even with familiar tracks it becomes easier to notice, “So that’s the kind of sound I had in here.”
The fun of this kit is that you can finely control each unit with a DSP.
KSC3504 and KSC6904 are coaxial speakers, but by adjusting the frequency bands with the DSP, you can change how the sound is blended together. Start with a balance that prioritizes easy listening, then fine-tune things from there—such as aligning the vocal positioning or emphasizing the thickness of the mid-bass. You can gradually dial in the sound to match the music you listen to and your preferences.
It’s a system that lets you move closer to your ideal sound not by only listening to a fixed output, but by checking how it sounds inside your vehicle.
A 3-way isn’t something that’s complete just by adding units. It’s important to perform installation and tuning while considering the mounting positions for each vehicle, how it pairs with the factory system, and how each speaker connects.
Even using the same units, the way the sound comes together and how easy it is to listen will change depending on where and how you mount them, as well as how you adjust the DSP.
At LOGON, after confirming the vehicle model, your current system, the music you usually listen to, and your sound preferences, we work with you to design a configuration you can enjoy without overreaching. Instead of assembling premium units all at once, one of the strengths of this kit is that you can first enjoy the changes brought by the 3-way setup, and then move on to the next step as needed.
If you’re someone who wants to change the sound firmly from stock, wants to try genuine car audio for the first time, or wants to “grow” the sound with DSP in the future, please consult us after looking at your vehicle and how you use it. If I were doing it, I think it’s more than a good idea to start with a clearly role-separated 3-way like this rather than pushing yourself into an expensive configuration from the start.
