It firmly supports the low-end foundation that front speakers alone are often unable to deliver.

Equipped with a low-pass filter, a subsonic filter, and a bass-boost feature, it allows you to fine-tune the sound to match your subwoofer size, enclosure/box, and your front-speaker setup.
