A 12ch DSP amplifier that delivers your factory multi-channel sound with power and precision—fully.
【HELIX V-TWELVE DSP MKⅡ|12ch DSP Built-in Power Amplifier】
HELIX V-TWELVE DSP MKⅡ is designed for anyone who wants to fine-tune the sound of their factory audio a little more, or who wants to truly build up the sound in the cabin—including speaker replacement and adding a subwoofer.
Because it integrates a 12ch class-D power amplifier with a 14ch DSP, you can control multiple speakers independently. It is also easy to adapt to factory multi-channel systems, and a key feature is that you can adjust sound staging and the relationship between each speaker while keeping the factory head unit.
In a car, the distance from each speaker to your ears and the mounting position differ between left and right. If you simply play audio as-is, the sound image may shift to one side or the vocals may sound blurred.
With the V-TWELVE DSP MKⅡ, you can adjust each channel individually to align the timing, set levels, and balance the sound across frequency ranges to suit the cabin. When you listen to your usual music, you can aim for changes that go beyond simply turning up the volume—for example, making the vocal position easier to spot and organizing the overlap of instruments for clearer listening.
For internal processing, it supports high-speed calculations with a 48kHz/24bit signal and a 64bit DSP. The AD/DA converters use 24bit converters from Burr-Brown, allowing a wide range of upgrades—from improving sound quality based on the factory system to full multi-channel configurations.
The high-level input supports 12ch, and combinations with multi-channel systems that include the factory amplifier are also considered. Since it supports auto power-on as well, it’s an easy-to-use configuration if you want to add an external DSP amplifier without drastically changing the factory audio.
In addition, it includes a TOS optical digital input, RCA input, RCA output, an HEC slot, and more—so you can also consider future system changes or adding equipment.
However, the sound from a DSP amplifier is not determined by the unit’s performance alone. The final result varies depending on the factory system on the vehicle side, the speaker configuration, whether or not a subwoofer is included, the mounting condition of each speaker, wiring methods, and the final adjustments.
If it were me, I would first confirm the vehicle’s system configuration and how you usually listen, then decide the required number of channels and the best combination. You’ll be less likely to regret it if you choose the V-TWELVE DSP MKⅡ not for its own sake, but after organizing what kind of sound you want to hear after installation.
