Turn BMW’s usual music into something more natural and pleasant.
[Coaxial 2-Way Speaker Compatible with BMW X3/X5/X6 UPGRADE B-100X W2]
You want the sound of the factory BMW speakers to be a bit clearer. You want to make vocal and instrument sounds easier to pick up. But you’re not considering major modifications or system changes.
For those people, the easy-to-consider option is the BMW-dedicated coaxial 2-way trade-in system “UPGRADE B-100X W2.”
Models compatible with installation on the door sheet-metal side, such as X3 F25, X5 F15/F85, and X6 F16, are available. The wiring uses a plug-and-play (coupler-on) design that connects to the factory connector. It’s ideal for people who want to enjoy changes in sound mainly by swapping speakers, without significantly altering the vehicle’s system.
The tweeter uses a 19mm silk dome diaphragm and a neodymium magnet. While naturally expanding the high frequencies, it helps you perceive the fine details and expressions of vocals and instruments.
The midrange is built with a combination of a 100mm paper cone and a ferrite magnet. It enhances the resolution in the mid-to-low range, so even if the sound seems blurred, it’s a speaker designed to make your usual music easier to hear.
Because it has a tweeter-dedicated high-pass filter built in, it reproduces as a coaxial 2-way by separating the roles of high frequencies and mid-to-low frequencies. This is well-suited for those who want, as the first step after replacing with a factory-speaker equivalent, to refine the sound’s contour and soundstage.
Even for the same BMW model and chassis code, compatibility may differ depending on the factory audio specifications or the speaker shape.
In particular, the front and rear midranges for the X3 F25 have different spacer shapes between UG B-100XW2 and UG B-100XW. Therefore, when installing on an F25, you need to choose after confirming not only the manufacturer’s compatibility information, but also the shape of the factory speaker currently installed.
There is also a configuration that adds a high-pass filter for a 10cm midrange. Because the appropriate combination changes depending on the vehicle’s factory system and intended use, it’s safer to choose while confirming the vehicle model, year, and audio specifications, rather than deciding only the product first.
Even speakers that connect via a plug-and-play coupler can yield different final results depending on the installation condition and the vehicle-side requirements. Check whether the speaker is firmly fixed, whether unwanted vibrations are occurring inside the door, and whether it matches the balance with the factory system. Doing so makes it easier to take full advantage of the quality of the replaced speakers.
At LOGON, we don’t just replace speakers. We also organize and guide you on which tasks are necessary and which you don’t need to force—while confirming the vehicle specifications, the music you usually listen to, and your sound preferences.
If you’re considering replacing BMW speakers but compatibility and additional parts are hard to understand, please first tell us the vehicle model, chassis code, year, and your current audio specifications. We’ll think together about the direction that suits the actual vehicle while organizing what can be confirmed.
