ESB 4000 SERIES 3-way Separated High-Grade System

The ESB 4000 SERIES 3-way separated system is a high-grade audio system that goes beyond the scope of a factory upgrade.
It is designed on the premise of maximizing the wide cabin and vehicle structure of the Alphard / Vellfire.

This system is fundamentally configured with separated 2-way speakers in the sliding doors and an added midrange in the rear gate area.
By adding and/or replacing the subwoofer, the rear section achieves a factory panel layout equivalent to the JBL specification.
By taking advantage of the JBL-designated positions and installing the midrange there,
we significantly enhance the continuity of sound throughout the cabin and the sense of scale.

A major feature of this system is that it is not a setup that can be completed by speaker replacement alone.
All speakers require new wiring runs, and the system is designed to perform acoustic control via a DSP amplifier,
including frequency band splitting, level adjustment, and time alignment.

Furthermore, by leveraging the DSP amplifier’s memory change function,
from surround-focused sound that wraps around the entire cabin,
to acoustic preset settings optimized front-to-rear separately—prioritizing the best balance for the front seats and the rear seats—
you can control sound in a wide range of ways to match the cabin atmosphere and usage scenarios.

Therefore,
installation with the ESB 4000 SERIES 3-way separated system alone is basically not accepted;
it is offered as a set option together with a DSP amplifier.

This is not a limitation,
but a prerequisite to reliably draw out the system’s information content, sound imaging, and soundstage expression.

In the spacious interior of the Alphard / Vellfire,
not only increasing volume matters—
where sound is played and how it is controlled largely determines the overall finish.
By combining precise DSP control,
we achieve both a solid sense of imaging at the front seats and an immersive sense of presence that feels naturally enveloping in the rear seats.

This is a higher-end high-grade audio system for those who find factory audio insufficient,
those who demand a level of completeness beyond the JBL specification,
and those who want to upgrade the time spent in the vehicle itself with “sound.”
