As an ESB AUDIO mid-grade model, it adopts a newly developed 165mm carbon cone diaphragm. The unit balances the characteristic lightness and rigidity of carbon with internal damping losses that appropriately control vibration, aiming for natural reproduction with good initial response and minimal excessive coloration.

When listening to music, if you feel that vocals are a bit too far away, that the contours of instruments are blurred, or that the bass is bloated and the overall sound doesn’t feel well integrated, those are areas where you can often notice improvements through a speaker swap. Since this model is the mid-bass unit responsible for the foundation of the bass through the midrange, it also affects the overall thickness of the front speakers and the presence of the vocals.

The magnetic circuit uses a large Y35 ferrite magnet and a 25.0mm diameter 2-layer voice coil with a lightweight aluminum bobbin. The structure is designed to help diffuse back pressure while also considering frame rigidity. This configuration is aimed at producing a straightforward sound that leverages the characteristics of the carbon cone. The frame is made of ABS resin.

However, speakers are not complete just by replacing the units. Depending on the door-side mounting base and fixing method, damping treatments, and the combination with the factory tweeters and amplifiers, the way the same speaker sounds can change.
