I want a bit more thickness and a sense of dimensionality in the sound from the factory speakers. I’d like to enjoy vocals and instrument sounds with a natural atmosphere—without the stimulation getting too strong.

MC6.2 is a separate 2-way speaker system that combines a 16.5 cm woofer and a 25 mm tweeter.

The woofer uses a fiberglass cone with a wool paper layer and an epoxy coating. While delivering a satisfying push in the mid-to-low range, the sound is tuned to avoid becoming heavy, achieving a balanced presentation that makes vocals and instruments easy to hear.

The tweeter uses a silk dome. It features a warm timbre that won’t easily stab your ears, while still rendering the high frequencies in fine detail. It’s suited to people who listen to music for long periods and to those who want to value overall coherence rather than emphasizing only the bass.

The included passive network has a function that allows the tweeter volume to be adjusted in two steps. You can fine-tune the way the high frequencies come through to match the acoustics inside the car and your preferences, making it an easy setup to accommodate adjustments after installation—such as “a bit brighter” or “a little calmer.”

However, simply replacing the speakers doesn’t determine the final sound. Depending on the condition of the door side, the installation method, the mounting base that supports the speakers, and the combination with the factory audio system, the impression can change even with the same product.
