A titanium balanced-dome diaphragm reproduces ultra-high frequencies up to 53 kHz.
[carrozzeria TS-T940 | Tune-up Tweeter]
The TS-T940 is a 36 mm balanced-dome tweeter. Its titanium diaphragm combines a high Young's modulus with internal loss, and Pioneer's optimisation extends reproduction from 1,800 Hz up to 53,000 Hz. An apex-drive construction minimises transmission loss to the diaphragm, and a neodymium magnet provides strong flux for good transient response.
The point of adding a tweeter is not simply more treble: it is to raise the stereo image and sharpen the outline of vocals and instruments. The in-line network for low crossover points and the ball-joint mount exist to make that adjustment possible.
Mounting position, angle and crossover settings change the result completely. Higher is not automatically better — the choice has to be made while listening to how it blends with the existing door speakers.
At LOGON we decide the mounting position and tuning approach together with you, based on your vehicle interior and current speaker setup.
