A CST driver inheriting TAD technology renders a genuine soundstage inside the car.
[carrozzeria TS-HX1GR | GRAND RESOLUTION High-Range Speaker]
The TS-HX1GR is a high-range speaker from Pioneer's flagship GRAND RESOLUTION series. It uses a CST (Coherent Source Transducer) driver that places a 73 mm midrange and a 26 mm tweeter on a single axis, radiating 154 Hz to 90,000 Hz from one acoustic source. The tweeter diaphragm uses vapor-deposited beryllium, a first for a car speaker.
Because the mid and high frequencies originate from a single point, the sound from the left and right speakers blends naturally and the stereo image rises above the dashboard.
This is a high-range unit and is designed to be combined with a woofer. Multi-amp drive plus accurate DSP crossover and time alignment make a large difference to the result. Mounting position and angle matter just as much as the unit itself.
At LOGON we propose the mounting method, amplifier configuration and tuning approach to suit your current system and vehicle interior.
