【USS4 Speaker Simulator|For Connecting OEM Audio and the Audison bit Processor】
When you add an Audison bit processor or similar to OEM audio or an OEM head unit, there are cases where you get the message “the connection should be correct, but there’s no sound.”
Some OEM head units monitor whether a low-impedance load—such as a speaker—is connected, and they stop audio output if they cannot detect the load. This is because when a high-impedance device is connected, the audio may become silent.
USS4 is a speaker simulator that connects between the OEM source and the processor or amplifier, so the head unit recognizes that an appropriate load is present. It is used to eliminate silent-output problems caused by the OEM system’s monitoring and to make the added audio system work.
The cause of no sound is not necessarily a failure of the processor itself. After checking what specifications the vehicle’s OEM audio has and how well it matches the equipment you plan to connect, you use USS4 when necessary.
At Log On, we do not only add products. We confirm for each vehicle the signal extraction from the OEM audio, the connection to the processor or amplifier, and the operation check after installation. Rather than unnecessarily adding parts, we work together to organize the setup so that sound plays naturally with the required configuration.
