There is no sound at all! | Is there power to each device? | Is there a defective fuse or ground? Check the power supply of each line! |
Are the settings of each device correct? | Amplifier switching etc. Check the manual again!
Are any error or check lights on? | Check that there are no abnormalities in the RCA, speaker line, and power connections! In particular, are the wiring behind the door speakers touching the body?
*Where should I check when the power is unexpectedly off? | Use a tester to check not only the voltage of the battery, but also the voltage entering and exiting each fuse location.Replace the fuses just in case! If the amplifier does not turn on, check the remote power supply as well!
Sound comes out or doesn't come out | Is the voltage above 12V normal? | Check battery voltage and amplifier voltage with a tester! |
Is there any poor contact? | Is there a poor connection or strain on the RCA cable? Is the wiring behind the door speaker touching the body? Are the grounding parts of each piece of equipment removed from the vehicle paint?
Are you using taps, etc. to connect the wiring of the equipment? | If you use the wrong size, etc., it will cause contact failure. Try to use bullet terminals and solder as much as possible.
Only the left or right side comes out | ① First, try swapping the left and right speaker cables connected to the amplifier! | [If the left and right sounds do not switch even after swapping] Check for poor connections or damage to the speaker/passive crossover itself or the speaker wiring. [After swapping, the left and right sounds were swapped] There may be a poor connection in the amplifier deck itself or in the RCA line cable from the amplifier to the deck. Return the wiring and go to ②! |
② Try swapping the left and right RCA plugs connected to the amplifier! | [If the left and right sounds do not change even after replacing] The amplifier may be defective or the settings may be incorrect. If resetting doesn't work, you can try changing to another amplifier, and if it still doesn't work, please contact your shop. [After replacing it, the left and right sounds were swapped] There may be a problem with the deck itself or a bad connection with the RCA line cable from the deck to the amplifier. Go to ③!
③Replace the RCA cable between the deck and amplifier with another one! | [When I replaced it, the sound came from the left and right!
] Replace the RCA or review the contact part! [No change even if replaced] There is a possibility that the RCA coming out of the deck has a poor connection or the deck itself is damaged, so please contact your local shop. *If you have a processor, etc. in addition to the amplifier and deck, start by replacing the RCAs on the amplifier and check.
There is noise | A whistling sound occurs depending on the engine speed | It's alternator noise. Check the grounding, is there a computer near the wiring? Also, is there a large potential difference between the voltage behind the deck and the voltage of the amplifier? Also check the location of the passive crossover. Be careful not to raise the amplifier gain too much! |
Rumbling and grinding noise regardless of engine speed | It's ignition noise. Check the location and method of grounding. One way is to increase the ground.
Sound cuts out while playing a CD | Does it cut out when playing a clean CD? | Dirty lenses inside the deck are one of the causes of audio interruptions or not playing. In the initial state, if you apply lens cleaner, the lens will start playing again, but as the symptoms progress, it will stop playing. If this happens, the back side of the lens of the CD reading section will also become dirty, so cleaners will no longer be able to deal with it. It is possible to replace the lens (pickup), and if you do so, you can use it for several years. |
